Is there a difference between the clothing in the junior’s department and the women’s department?
My friend and I have a bit of a difference of opinion. She claims that junior’s clothes are the same as women’s clothes and that the difference is solely based upon quality and design. I feel that that’s true, but there is also a difference in cut. Junior’s clothes are made for slimmer, younger women. The clothes in the women’s department always seem to fit me better than those in the junior’s department. What’s the scoop, guys?

i think that the juniors r a little shorter and maybe thinner/tighter and the womens r more loose and longer and i also think that the juniors r cuter and more in style (idk) and they have different clothes, like the womens r mostly blouses and nice shirts and the juniors r more relaxed and laid back. those r the differences. HOPE THIS HELPED!!!!

ye si think that the clothing in the women’s department is more Conservative or maybe it just bigger sizes and women i would say from ages 25- on so there age appropiate and juniors for teens etc and the type of style young people are intrested in.

Juniors are more new stuff. Women are usually referred to as older people, or people who are out of high school. Juniors are usually people who are currently attending high school. So the clothes they wear, are more like what people in high school would wear. And the women’s clothing are for people who are older, or like the older styles maybe. Your right, I think that juniors clothes are simply made for younger women.

Well Junior sizes are odd numbered 1,3,5 while womans are even number sized 2,4,6… Women sizes are more accomadating of curves i.e bust and hips

You are right women’s cloths are cut differently then juniors. The style of jeans is different and you may wear a 10 in juniors and a 6 in womens. I know being a thicker 23 year old that jeans is the women department fit me so much better I don’t have the butt hanging out and the thong showing you know what I mean. The best place to shop is Old Navy because there cloths are made to fit all body types in one style.
