LOS ANGELES (AP) – The mother of the woman who used a fertility doctor to give birth to octuplets, despite already having six young children, called her daughter’s actions “unconscionable” in a videotaped interview.
Angela Suleman is caring for the six older children while her daughter is hospitalized after giving birth January 26 to the octuplets.
“She already has six beautiful children, why would she do this?” Angela Suleman said. “I’m struggling to look after her six. We had to put in bunk beds, feed them in shifts and there’s children’s clothing piled all over the house.”

LOS ANGELES (AP) – The Southern California mother of octuplets receives $490 a month in food stamps and three of her first six children are disabled and receiving federal istance, her publicist confirmed Monday evening.
Spokesman Michael Furtney said Suleman did not want to disclose the nature of the disabilities, or the type or sum of the payments.
Furtney confirmed the public istance payments after two sources told The Los Angeles Times that Suleman was receiving food stamps and federal supplemental security income.
“In her view these are just payments made for people with legitimate needs and are not, in her view, welfare,” Furtney said. “She just believes that there are programs for people with needs and she and her children qualify for some of them.”
In an interview that aired Monday, Suleman told NBC “Today” show anchor Ann Curry that she does not receive welfare.
Her six other children are under the age of 7. All 14 children were the result of in-vitro fertilization. [FEB 09 2009]

OH i see this is used to getting goverment money and workerscomp $165.000 ,she”s enjoying the free gravytrain and dont want to give it up.The clinic doctor that approved this ought to be seriously questioned,and take $20.000 dollars out of his salary a year and give it to her ,till they reach 18 years of age

Another thing that …
Another thing that I don’t think a lot of people think about is when those kids get older and start to read about there background, they will see all of the negative press that has happened. If octomon really had the best interest of those kids, she would have never had more than 2 at the most. When she is interviewed, she tries to tell people what she thinks they want to hear and she is a HUGE trainwreck and the ones who will suffer the most is those children.

I definitely stand by her mother. People should stop saying to butt out, cause when the responsible people who pay their taxes have all their tax money go to her to support the mess she made, that’s when we all get angry. And even her parents are going broke just to save their grandchildren. It’s disgusting and this woman has to be stopped.

I dont care if she is single or that she has 14 kids..what I and everyone should care about ONLY is that our tax money is going to her because of her irresponsibility. I hate it when people say,”This is her decision, butt out.”No, I don’t think so.Her parents are suffering at the hands of their daughter. Her parents are literally becoming homeless trying to save their grandchildren. Also, where do you think her Welfare checks are coming from?She can not afford them, so they are becoming her grandparents problem, and the public’s problem.Great she stands by her insane decision to ruin a bunch of lives, and make others pay for it. There has to be a …
There has to be a limit because she could have died. Its a miracle all eight infants are alive and nadya can still walk after carrying them with a messed up spine from an accident. It becomes the publics problem when you can’t support yourself and mooching. Also the children have a right to more proper care.
