Would you happen to …
Thanks.
Would you happen to have a pattern for a few letters? Instead of the flower applique, personalize it a little more? I’m planning on making three pair for my friends boys, and them being so close in age, they need a way to distinct them. What better way than their initial! D, A, and X if you ever get around to it

What I suggest is …
What I suggest is modifying the pattern. That is where you take a pattern and add extra stitches or take away stitches while applying the shaping techniques.
1. You would be able to make extra stitches for the length of the bootie so it is longer.
2. Apply the shaping for the toe and heel. Those stitches will probably remain the same.
3. There will be more stitches around the ankle if the sole was made longer.
You will still be making the same bootie just with more stitches.

I just made a pair …
I just made a pair of these with a D or 3 USA hook (3 25 mm) and the length came out just under 3.5 inches long and 2.25 inches high. I added an inch of ruffles on top of the back and sides. Instead of making the shoe laces I’m going to use satin lace and I think I’ll put a small version of your crocheted pansy on the outsides. I hope the Mom and the baby likes them. Thanks ever so much for showing us how to do these. Your directions rock! Debi

Would a size E hook …
Would a size E hook be all right for preemie size booties? I would actually be making them for a doll that wears preemie clothes.
Thank you.
