1. Water resistant watches have limitations when it comes to being in water. If you dive or swim with your watch on, check the manufacturer’s care label for restrictions on water temperature, time span in the water, and water depth.
2. Even if a watch is purchased with a label stating “water resistant”, it may not remain water resistant throughout its life. If you are in conditions where your watch gets wet, it is best to have it periodically checked to ensure that the water resisting effect is still working properly.
