I spent about $500.00 and that did not include any specialty items. If you want to spend less you can try second hand stores that specialize in infant items because they will often carry clothing and motherhood is one of the less expensive maternity stores.
References :
Not a lot since I had a preemie. I basically only needed shorts and capris as I was pregnant last summer. Most of my tops still fit me; however, I needed shoes....my feet grew a size and a half due to severe water retention. I bought a lot of my clothes used off of eBay or at Kohl's. I probably spent less than $100. Yippee! :)
References :
Probably about 300-400 dollars, not counting the ridiculously expensive maternity bathing suit from Lands End!
References :
Not a whole lot...maybe $300 total. I did buy some new things (underwear, bras) but the majority of my clothes came from either Wal Mart, Target or consignment shops.
References :
about $300, Old Navy has very cheap maternity clothes. Also they have clothes that will grow as you do, so you don't have to buy as much. Good Luck.
I also went to cheap places like target and Kmart.
References :
I hated to spend money on maternity clothing... I spent about $150 and sewed things at home in addition. If you sew, Isabella Oliver has a great line of maternity clothing that are easily duplicated (easy to make your own patterns).
References :
It would depend entirely on the type of clothing you need to wear. If you have to dress up for work in real nice stuff it could cost you a fortune. I was able to wear loose fitting dresses, stretch pants and over sized shirts. If you don't need to dress up you can get away with under a $100.00 by buying larger clothing and saving your money for the special pregnancy clothing like panties and bras that can fit the special pads in the event that you leak milk. Any item specially made for pregnancy is going to be more expensive. You might also consider when you register for your baby shower including some clothing for yourself (It is being done more now with people registering at multiple stores and through the Internet). Happy Shopping.
