where can a teen go for cute maternity clothing?

well , im 15 and im pregnant. im in need of cute maternity clothing , preferably not online stores. i live in bedford texas and cant seem to find inexpensive but cute maternity clothing. please no rude comments or judging. thanks.

It depends how large you are to begin with as not everyone who is pregnant wears maternity clothing.
Im 20 years old and i was small when i got pregnant. Im still young and find alot of maternity clothing hard to find in a suitable size/fashion.
Maternity clothing is available for purchase in regular department stores.
Personally i have just bought things from my regular stores in a larger size, items which have an empire line, stretchy fabrics and tops that are longer.
Im 23 weeks and am still able to wear a fair percentage of my regular clothes.
There are however no maternity lines for teens.
I know you said no online stores but ebay is worth a look as they have cheap clothing.
Also it doesnt hurt to visit the charity stores in your area.
Good luck x

Inexpensive maternity clothes? Depends on what you consider inexpensive. So far I have spent an upwards of $30 for jeans and $20 for shirts, and that to me is expensive.

However, you can find very comfortable and stylish clothes at Motherhood Maternity. You can check motherhood.com to see their clothes and find a store close to you. I won’t shop anywhere else! There’s also JC Penny and Old Navy maternity, but not all of them have maternity sections and I actually find their stuff quite uncomfortable.

An alternative to maternity pants (if you don’t need to go up a size because of weight gain) is buying a bella band (they sell them at target). You just leave your pants unzipped and put the bella band on around your pants and no one can even tell that they’re unzipped- it just looks like you have a tank top on underneath your t-shirt. Mine was about $20 and I think you can find them on amazon.com as well for less.

I do not suggest just buying bigger sizes in regular pants though- you will need the belly support and comfort that maternity pants give you. You may be able to get through your first and maybe second trimester with just bigger shirts (and empire waist shirts) but even the biggest sizes may not be long enough to cover your belly once you hit your third trimester! Invest in comfy maternity clothes- sometimes you may need to wear them for a while after you have the baby until all the swelling has gone down.

I’m also 27 weeks pregnant and went through the whole buying maternity clothes ordeal.

With my 1st I got preg at 19. (I’m 23 now and preg with my 3rd).
Anyway I never wore maternity clothes, just bigger sizes of my regular clothes.

I could never really find nice maternity clothes that were not super expensive.

Go for long stretchy singlets, cute trackpants and boobtubes are great too!

How about trying regular clothing stores, and buying babydoll style tops or loose fitting t-shirts and maxi dresses? This will get you through most of your pregnancy. There will come a time, though, when you just won’t fit anything but pregnancy clothes. I know you say you don’t like online stores, but Pumpkin Patch have some really nice maternity clothes online. Also, I’ve found some maternity gear in second hand clothing stores.

Good Luck. I think your best bet is adjusting your jeans to fit by inserting the elastic panels, and to go with that, I would just buy oversized t-shirts. Don’t even try the maternity wear. Its all stupid, with lace collars and bows, ick! Its been a while, but Target had some cute things I wore when I was PG. Just get a larger size. You can also use the tried and true rubber band method with your jeans. Loop a rubber band over the button or rivet, then pull it through the button hole and loop it back around the button or rivet. You may not be able to zip them up, but that’s where the longer tops come in handy.
