Why are women more supportive with a guy dressed in womens clothing, then guys.?

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

I like to dress feminine. Seems ok for women to go out in public dressed with guys clothing and nothing is said. But if a guy wears womens clothing. He is condemed.

hmm. i think it’s cause us girls are sensitive and we understand why you’d want to wear what you wear.

What is the difference betwen Amish and Mennonite womens’ clothing?

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

I think Amish women wear plain solid color dresses and always wear an apron, usually black or dark in color, and a bonnet. Mennonite women wear pastel dresses sometimes a floral print and do not have to wear an apron like Amish women. They also wear a bonnet most of the time

You are almost right. Amish youth wear an apron and they only wear bonnets to go out. They do, however wear a religious head covering. The color depends on the group, but for the most part, they wear dark colors.

The Mennonite description is spot on. The size and shape of the covering depends on the group but most conservative groups of Mennonites wear them.

How does ‘The Closet’ sound for a small womens clothing boutique?

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

My clothing boutique is small about 490 square feet. So I am thinking of cute names. I have only come up with The Closet. Any suggestions?
It does! Yall are right…
I don’t care if it’s already a store in your area. I know it’s not in mine….
But thanks… :)

"The Closet" is fine if that’s what you like, but I don’t really like it.

I would suggest:

(Insert your name)’s Closet (for example, Sara’s Closet)

La Timida Bella – The Shy Sweetheart or The Shy Beauty

More Than Meets The Eye

Heart of Gold

Is womens clothing size the same across various lines?

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

I crossdress and my clothing size for men is consistent across different stores. For womens clothing, I shop from one store and my size is a 5. If I shoponline from another store, would it be safe to order size 5?

Every online store should have a size chart. The reason for this is because, even though they say things are size 5, there are a lot of stores that will either fit bigger for vanity sizing (so normally you’re a size 5, and you fit a size 3, thus making you feel better about yourself…i.e. Old Navy) or smaller in order to cater to a certain market, keeping the "larger" people out of their store (think like Hollister). So yeah, definitely check sizing charts and make sure you know your measurements. I’m in Fashion Design, so I’m kind of knowledgeable in the area.
