Which Shops in London are best for vintage designer clothing and accessories?

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

I want to visit some shops in london that sell vintage designer clothing and accessories, but im new to the whole experience. i need to shop somewhere where it isn’t too pricey, also if you’ve bought anything from a shop that sells vintage could you say what it is and what the price was so i have an idea of what to expect. Thanks! X

The bad news is that vintage, nowadays, is pricey… especially designer vintage, I’m afraid.

Try Camden market and the following shops (you’ll need to look them up on Google for their addresses, though): Beyond Retro (Cheshire St in the East End); Rokit; Steinberg & Tolkien (King’s Rd in Chelsea)…

Monday, October 19th, 2009

I need a realy catchy name for my new clothing designer brand? I want realy catchy names like Gucci is.

Gucci is named after the desighner himself, the same as a majority of all the labels.
Why not use ‘StephNayls’ or something similar.

What are some men’s designer clothing brands with styles similar to Abercrombie?

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

My friend is 19 and has dressed in Abercrombie for the past 5 years or so and is wanting to find some new clothes that are less label-y. He likes fashionable things but not fancy or anything. Tshirts, jeans, hoodies, and jeans mainly. Things that are like, more mature than Abercrombie clothing that are associated with high school and college kids, but not old man wear. Nothing cheap like American Eagle or Old Navy or the Gap or anything. Things that are designer but nothing bolder than the general Abercrombie style.

Diesel
Lacoste
express
DKNY
Calvin Klien
Guess
Hugo Boss
Tommy Hilfiger
Ralph Lauren
H&M
Uniqlo
Replay
Full Circle

(…now these, are high end, but kinda lame)
