That is one thing that you dont have to worry about ! It is the only thing that is still cheap ! Pep stores and Ackermans have the best baby clothes at reasonable prices !
Baby grows = from R19 to R29
T shirts and shorts combinations =from R 29 and up !
You can easily buy 8 sets of clothes for R400 if you spend it wisely ! Tip : Buy in such a way that you can mix and match easily !Woolworths is a wise choice for one or two expensive outfits for special occations but remember they will only wear it once or twice by the way the kid grows !

Baby clothes are pretty reasonable I assure you!!! Its just cots, prams and most other accesories that re ridiculous.
Places like Jet, Ackermans and Pep store are astonishingly great. R100 – R300 can get you so much (either way, they cant be expensive as babies grow real quick). Edgars and Woolworths is also priced well, plus the quality is greater. Then there’s The Hub, Baby Boom, Baby City whith good prices as well.
Other stores that deal with kids clothes are ridiculous. Places like Nartjie. Who buys a kid a shoe worth R700 knowing very well they’ll outgrow it soon, lose it or have the front amazingly burst open? Stores like those arent necessary really…
Anyway, good luck with the baby shopping (",)

If you are spending pounds then yes, very reasonable. There are budget stores like Jet and Mr Price. Can’t tell you the price of baby clothes as never bought any of those but you could get an adult T-shirt for as little as R50-60 (about £4). Not sure which shops have the best range for baby clothes.
