Does anyone know of a cool, hip, and sexy type of maternity clothing website?

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

I’ve seen so many like:

apeainapod.com
isabella.com
mimimaternity.com
etc….

I’ve tried putting in the search box for google and yahoo; sexy maternity clothes, hot and hip maternity wear, etc.. but everything looks the same. I will have a big belly for the majority of the summer and a little before so I would like cute and a lil sexy tops and comfy skirts. Does anyone know of a website for this type of clothing?

Any other sites to buy used baby clothing?

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

I have checked ebay out. They didnt have what I was looking for there.
I also have a www.cafemom.com profile, which they have groups that sell used clothing. I have bought some stuff from that site. But I am still searching for used clothing for my daughter and son.
Their sizes are 12-18months winter clothes (girls)
Also looking for 12-18months summer dresses and skirts (girls)

I am also looking for 2t-3t boys winter clothing.

If anyone knows any other nicely used baby clothes buying sites, please let me know.
Or if anyone has any, I will buy for a decent amount, and pay shipping.
Not looking for freebies.

I have found the best site. It’s freecycle.org and everything on there is free! It’s through yahoo and you just have to sign up its free. Put in your state and county and you will see all the postings.

Plus sized childrens clothing?

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

I need to know of a place that sells quality plus sized children/teen clothing. Maybe something not TOO expensive, but not cheap-o. Any one have any ideas?

Don’t go to Holister, Abercrombie and stores like that they have too much SLIM stuff. Try the mall. Your nearest mall probably has Macy’s Jc Penny’s and stores like that. They might just work! Hope this helps and good luck!

How much money would average parents pay for clothing for their kids?

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

I’m looking for numbers on a monthly basis and how much $$$ comes in to your household… and how much of that do you spend on clothing for your kids???

My income is above average and i will say that i spend about 75 bucks a month on clothes.
I spend the most (Up in the hundreds) when it is for back to school time.

Where I can donate clothing to women in need – rather than to a charity resale – in Melbourne Vic Australia?

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

Like many people I have some never worn clothes (some still with tags!) that I would like to donate to a domestic violence shelter or other charity that would give the clothes to women who need them, rather than just selling them. Does anyone know of any appropriate charities in Melbourne – and how I can contact them?
I have discovered that Hanover Homeless Shelter in Southbank accepts clothes donations. Thanks to the non-spammers who answered.

try this site it might be of some use for a phone number or an address
Best of luck

when did you start wearing maternity clothing at your second pregnancy?

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

I am only 13 weeks pregnant and i already feel big! I don’t think i gain weigth, maybe a pound or so, but my belly i really HUGE. My belly is as big as it was at 5 months pregnancy for my first one and there is only one in there! It ’s kind of scary…will i get bigger this time? Had you gain more weight in your second pregnancy? And how fast did you lost it after the baby was born?
how fast didi you lost the weight after this second baby?

10 weeks because of the bloat I bought some stretchy pants. I am now 14 weeks and down to the stretchy pants, another pair of maternity pants and one pair of pre pregnancy shorts that WERE too huge.

EDIT: For those that think maternity clothes are ugly you are shopping in the WRONG places. Try Mimi Maternity and Pea in a Pod.

Best way to store childrens clothing?

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

We will be moving this summer, and will be storing alot of things including baby clothes in a storage unit until we find a house. They may be stored up to 3 months, and in a hot, dry climate. What is the best way to store the clothes? Bags, boxes, tubs? What will keep them the "freshest?" Thanks!!

To keep them the absolute freshest you’d want to use vacuum bags to completely remove the air. After that your best bet would be sealable plastic tub containers.
