Im not looking for stores that sell it, rather the company who makes them. A website or a phone number would be wonderful. Thank you in advance!

How many mommies shop on E-bay for your kids clothing?

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

What have been your overall experiences?
E-bay has many many new items with the tags!

I’ve found some really nice things at excellent prices. Sometimes, the bid goes higher than what I’m willing to pay because I figure in shipping costs. I only buy things on Ebay if the total cost is much lower than I could get at a store.

I have no problem buying used clothes for my kids or myself. I LOVE shopping at Salvation Army and thrift stores. It takes some time because you have to closely inspect the clothes for stains and tears, but I have found many, many things there. I’ll even buy some things that are slightly stained to use as play clothes for my kids; I figure, when they’re going to be outside in the dirt anyway, why buy new clothes to get dirty? With my kids especially, I love finding clothes at 2nd hand stores. They grow so fast!

Why should men not wear women’s clothing?

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

I am curious to see what valid arguments can be put forth against men wearing women’s clothing. However, I’m not looking for short answers such as "Cuz its weird" or "Cuz that makes you gay", because neither of those even equate to arguments, more along the lines of excuses. Also, I want to see what arguments can be made that cannot also be turned against women wearing men’s clothing.

Make your argument at least one paragraph of six sentences or more to make it interesting.

Arguments like "it is not comfortable", "you can get a cold easily" or
"you become victim of an assault" are ridiculous because this would mean that also women would do better avoiding feminine clothes at all.
Referring to this argument "not designed for men" I would say that is just what attracts somebody who wants to dress female. I f you explore your inner feminine side (which everybody has got from birth to some extent!) you may like to dress like a woman. Why should beauty be reserved for one gender only ? And if women can easily wear mannish clothes today, men should be treated equally, not being teased or ridiculed when they like it the other way round.
Surely we have to look what really suits us and how we can improve our passing. That provided, a guy in female attire can only be a threat to somebody who is insecure about his own masculinity or who wants to model individuals after some "unalienable" mainstream expectations.
Who knows ? Perhaps one day in a distant future men will start to wear skirts and dresses like women began to wear pants 100 years ago ? The sooner – the better, in the sense of a more liberal society !

what is the best way to purchase urban clothing wholesale?

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

FROM CHINA?
WHAT INTERNET SITE?

The best way I’ve found is to purchase good quality urban clothing from a well-run Thrift Store. You will find like-new items there that are already shrunk as much as they are going to, and are broken in enough to be comfortable.

I am a childrens clothing designer, what do you wish you could find that you cant?

Friday, September 25th, 2009

Anything you have been looking for at stores and cant find?. any certain styles, fabrics, colors?
I just came up with a new line that is very fifties inspired, No more clothing for little girls that is inappropriate and so revealing. The toddler line is full of crinaline like skirts under the dresses, all authantic fabrics from the time period and very one of a kind boutique creations. very fancy for some of the designs yet so adorabe and comfortable. Lots of fifties inspired little dresses that show off adorable ruffled panties. Sweet dotted swiss fabrics, and lots of seersucker. Also an adorable pajama line with the same fifties influence. What ever happened to the nightgown for a little girl, I can never find one for my 2 year old. Just elmo and dora longjohns. How does this new line of mine sound?

Your line sounds very interesting! Good luck!

I love children’s clothing in bright colors, *love* embellishments on my girls’ clothing (beads, fringe, etc.). I love finding pretty clothes in non-traditional colors, like orange for girls.

I really like "outfits", where the shirt and bottoms come together in an interesting way. One outfit on my daughter’s that I love has white pants with a couple of butterflies near the bottom on the pants, and a blue shirt with white clouds that also has butterflies.

I also like it when you can get a matching headband, ponytail holder, or hat with an outfit.

how many times a year should i buy my kids clothing?

Friday, September 25th, 2009

I usually buy my kids clothes every other month and i think thats too much. My aunt told me she only used to buy her kids clothing twice a year. Any advice because i like to save and budget and how many pieces of clothes should a kid honestly have. I dont want them growing up thinking its all about shopping and in reality its about education

I would say they need enough clothing for 5 days of school, three play outfits, and one thing for nice occasions at any one time, along with a pair of sneakers and slightly over a weeks worth of socks and underwear. That should serve you fine if you do laundry every 5-7 days. When they start to out grow or overuse the outfits you can replace. For long lasting things like coats and snowsuits, wait until they outgrow or become worn out.
